Blueberry Kale Smoothie
I'm from Maine, where the blueberries grow strong and purple and are more delicious than any other blueberries in the world. I promise. This smoothie definitely filled my craving for some of those delicious berries this morning. The hemp milk provides omega-3 & 6 fatty acids and 4 grams of protein, the bananas and strawberries are chock full of potassium, vitamin C, and fiber, the blueberries are loaded with antioxidants, and the kale is a leafy green filled with vitamins A, C, & K. Plus kale contains tons of flavonoids, which makes it rich in antioxidants and a good anti-inflammatory for your body inside and out!
1 cup hemp milk
1 medium banana
2 cups kale
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup ice
1 scoop protein powder (optional)
Blend everything together until it looks creamy and delicious, a light purple flecked with green.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!
Serves 2 (or 1 if you're hungry!)
