These are the recipes that are making our table this year, in order of how we would probably consume them. Not counting seconds; anything goes on the second plate. [And before we forget- we're in the running to be selected as a winner in the Feast Your Eyes on Vegan competition over at The Flexiatarian. Do me a big favor and go vote for my Deep Dish Apple Cinnamon Skillet Cake in the comments. Please?] Now onto the food! 1} Apple Cider Quick Bread from Purely Twins Because it sounds delicious & simple, which is a total condition on Tofurkey Day. 2} Lemon & Miso Cranberry Sauce Because we're proud of this one. Its a flavor combo that might just become its own tradition! 3} Shallot & Shitake Gravy from Oh My Veggies Because did you look at that picture? I could swim in that rich, chunky, tater smothering' gravy! Because you need an easy, basic mashed potato recipe even when you're low on ingredients, and especially when it means less to do! 5} Toasty Pumpkin Chickpea Fritters from Healthy Happy Life Because I'm a sucker for crunchy fried bits, and these will make a unique side dish. Because there will absolutely be at least one gluten-free eater at your table this year, and they deserve to be full, too. Because you still want a little mock meat for tradition, but you don't need it pre-shaped like a dead bird. Based on the original by Sarah Kramer. Because its sweet, gluten-free, & a great alternative to pumpkin pie. 9} Raw Pumpkin Pie with Coconut Whipped Cream from This Rawsome Vegan Life Because you want the original- in its purest, most delicious form. Because chocolate deserves a spot at every table.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving/ Thankgivukkah/Hanukkah week, decorate your mantel with this cute DIY, and enjoy as many delicious eats as you can! We'll chat soon. {And don't foget to vote for our Deep Dish Apple Cinnamon Skillet cake- HERE!]
